Water – Clean & Accessible Drinking Water

Number Nine on Our 12-Point Agenda

Number nine on our 12-Point Agenda for the good people of Ogun State is the provision of clean, safe, and drinkable water for all communities.

Water—clean, drinkable water—is a basic human right, not a privilege.

Cleanliness, good health, and overall well-being are directly connected to reliable access to safe water. Without it, communities face preventable diseases, poor sanitation, and reduced quality of life.

My administration will treat access to clean water as an urgent priority.

Our Immediate Action Plan

We will begin immediately with the installation of boreholes and overhead water tanks in:

  • Village squares

  • Rural community centers

  • Town centers across Ogun State

These facilities will ensure that residents in rural communities can easily access safe drinking water within their neighborhoods.

At the same time, we will encourage and challenge community leaders, businesses, and members of the elite to partner with government by supporting the funding of thousands of potable water projects across the state.

Urban Water Infrastructure

While boreholes will provide immediate relief in rural areas, our administration will also invest in modern pipe-borne water systems for urban centers, ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply for growing towns and cities.

Our Goal

Our goal is simple and clear:

No community in Ogun State should lack access to clean, drinkable water.

Clean water will improve:

  • Public health

  • Sanitation and hygiene

  • Child development

  • Community well-being

  • Economic productivity

Water is life—and access to safe water is a fundamental responsibility of good governance.
