About me

Leadership with Heart, Vision, and Action

I am Dr. Bọ̀lájì Marie Odùsínà, M.B, B.S, F.A.A.P, M.D, F.B.I (Full Blooded Ijebu)—a board-certified pediatrician, humanitarian, entrepreneur, and cultural advocate with over 30 years of service in global healthcare, women’s empowerment, and community development.

From treating children in top U.S. hospitals to leading grassroots missions across Africa , Asia , South America and the Middle East, I have consistently delivered people-centered, purpose-driven leadership. I founded multiple ventures across health, education, and culture—each rooted in equity, integrity, and impact. Now, I am offering that same legacy of trusted leadership to build a prosperous, transparent, and dignity-driven future for Ogun State.

Dr. Bolaji Marie Odusina — affectionately known as “Dee Doc” or simply “Dr. Bolaji” — is a USA-based, board-certified pediatrician, accomplished entrepreneur, grassroots development advocate, and a passionate daughter of Ogun State. She is officially declaring her candidacy for Governor of Ogun State in the 2027 general elections , offering a bold new vision rooted in service, integrity, and inclusive development.

With over three decades of diverse experience spanning medicine, business, education, social enterprise, and cultural preservation, Dr. Bolaji embodies the kind of transformative leadership Ogun State needs.

From the Clinic to the Community

As a physician, Dr. Bolaji is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (F.A.A.P). She trained and practiced across the globe, from Nigeria to the Caribbean to the United States, where she completed her pediatric residency and launched her flagship practice, Suwanee Pediatrics, in 1999.

Her approach to healthcare is holistic — healing the body, mind, and spirit, and reaching communities often overlooked. Through her Doctors Without Prejudice (DWP) medical missions, she has touched thousands of lives in underserved areas across Nigeria and beyond.

Rooted in Heritage, Raised for Leadership

Dr. Bolaji was born into a family of intellectuals and civic-minded leaders. Her father, Dr. Odubayo Jonathan Popoola Odusina, and mother, Prof. (Mrs) Olu Odusina, instilled in her a deep love for service and scholarship. Her education journey bridges continents:

  • Cathedral Private School – North Carolina, USA

  • St. Teresa’s College – Ibadan, Nigeria

  • Queen’s College – Lagos, Nigeria

  • MBBS, College of Medicine, University of Lagos

  • Internship training in Trinidad & Tobago, Nigeria, and the United States

This hybrid upbringing — Nigerian roots with global exposure — shaped her into a uniquely qualified leader with the cultural depth and modern perspective needed to lead Ogun into a new era.
