When given the mandate by the good people of Ogun State to serve as their Governor in 2027, Deo Valente (God willing), one of the central pillars of my administration will be Agricultural Industrialization.
I am a disciplined organizer, much like many women who are blessed to be mothers by the special grace of God. My career and achievements speak for themselves. I, Dr. Bolaji Marie Odùsìnà, as the CEO of several successful companies, have practiced self-imposed discipline and delayed gratification, principles that are essential to building sustainable success.
Agricultural industrialization is not simply about purchasing farming equipment.
True transformation begins with careful study and deep engagement.
First, we must listen and learn. We must engage directly with local farmers, sit with the market women who sell the produce, listen to their concerns, observe their daily realities, and understand what they truly need to succeed.
The second step is to assess the current situation—to carefully study what already exists and identify the gaps that must be addressed.
Only after these steps can a carefully crafted, detail-oriented, customized, time-sensitive, and cost-effective plan be implemented. Such a plan must include:
-
The procurement of the right agricultural equipment
-
Proper training for pre-identified operators
-
Fair compensation for workers
-
Effective tracking and monitoring systems
-
Oversight by experienced leaders with deep local knowledge
This is the pathway to real and sustainable success.
The massive agricultural revolution we will lead for the people of Ogun State will mark the beginning of a new era. Our ultimate goal is to create sustainable wealth for local farmers and farming communities.
To achieve this, our administration will prioritize:
-
Export of high-quality food crops
-
Local processing and value addition to agricultural products
-
Transforming cocoa into finished chocolate products
-
Transforming cassava into premium, gourmet garri and other derivatives
-
Processing pecans into pecan-based products such as pecan pies
-
Converting corn into ethanol and other industrial products
These initiatives will attract foreign exchange into the Ogun State economy while generating lasting prosperity for farmers, processors, and entrepreneurs across the state.
At the same time, we will promote and refine our highly nutritious, organic ancestral diet, recognizing its importance for long-term public health.
For example, innovations such as Dr. Bolaji’s Ẹ̀ṣùnsùn Marmite and Dr. Bolaji’s Ẹ̀ṣùnsùn Powder Seasoning—designed to restore high-quality iron and protein into everyday meals—will be explored and developed.
Through agricultural innovation, value-added processing, and global market access, Ogun State will emerge as a leading agricultural powerhouse in Nigeria and beyond.
