Yórúbà culture is replete with ancestral practices that to this day are nonpareil. One of these is the Gàngán or “ Talking Drums”. With these drums professionals drummers are able to sound out and say sentences and convey messages to their audience. Used as an integral part of the B.OY.S system, the security professionals in one B.O.Y.S system guard tower send messages via Gàngán to their next neighboring B.O.Y.S system guard tower . The Gàngán’s message is amplified via Bullhorns to enhance the clarity and volume of the message. The time of sending the message is pre- determined by all B.O.Y.S system guard towers as is the message contest.

The first designated B.O.Y.S system guard tower initiates the Gàngán message. It is sent to each guard tower in set sequence. The last B.O.Y.S system guard tower then completes the closed loop communication by sending the message to the first inflating tower.
If the Gàngán message is not received by a B.O.Y.S system guard tower professional at the expected time or if the message is incorrect, the alert will go forth to all that something is amiss .
