Number Eleven on Our 12-Point Agenda
Number eleven on our 12-Point Agenda for the good people of Ogun State—when I am given the mandate to serve as Governor in 2027—will be the cleanup, protection, and preservation of our environment.
A clean environment is not a luxury. It is a necessity for good health, dignity, and sustainable living.
Our towns, villages, markets, and cities must reflect the pride we have in our communities and in our heritage.
My administration will launch a Clean Cities and Communities Program across Ogun State.
This program will focus on restoring cleanliness, order, and beauty to our streets, neighborhoods, waterways, and public spaces.
Waste management systems will be strengthened and modernized so that refuse is collected regularly, processed responsibly, and recycled whenever possible.
Recycling initiatives will be introduced to encourage communities to turn waste into useful and economically valuable materials.
Our rivers, streams, and forests must also be protected.
Waterways must remain clean and free from pollution, and our forests must be preserved as vital natural resources for future generations.
Community sanitation will become a shared responsibility between government and citizens.
Regular sanitation programs will be organized across local governments, encouraging residents to participate actively in keeping their surroundings clean and healthy.
Environmental education will also be promoted in schools and communities so that our children grow up understanding the importance of protecting nature and caring for the land that sustains us.
A clean environment improves public health, supports tourism, and builds communities where people feel proud to live.
Together, we will build an Ogun State that is cleaner, healthier, greener, and more beautiful for generations to come.
